I quickly wanted to say what a jewel 2 Culduie is. I had a most lovely stay. The cottage is so comfortable and the view .... well, a bit of heaven on earth.
The "new" sitting room is so light and bright - beautifully designed - and I like the spiffy new furniture. I spent many hours sitting in
one wing-back chair gazing at the view, reading, writing in my travel journal and listening to BBC4 or BBC Scotland.
The "old" sitting room is so cozy and comfortable with a fireplace in which even I could build a good fire to sit by while I listened to BBC3. It was so relaxing to be there without a
telly.
As for the bedrooms, I slept in the room with the light-coloured walls - and the very comfortable bed.
All else, kitchen, bathroom, etc. were good.
As for the croft area, it was great fun to watch and sheep and lambs (and Eigg [next door’s spaniel] romping about) along with the ducks, the chickens and the one rooster who took to crowing
about 3 p.m. weird bird.
All this is to say, what a wonderful holiday. It went by all too quickly.

Our first visit to this glorious part of the world. We've enjoyed every minute and been blessed with some lovely, warm and sunny weather. The cottage has been perfect for us and we do hope to return some day.

Our family ties with Applecross mean we hold the place and people very dear. The cottage was ideal for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable stay. To look out upon the rain, the wind and the midges (us warm and dry) is always a pleasure! (Actually the weather was pretty good this time)

I love the cottage. We brang our bikes and went over to coral beach. We went to Sand beach and swam in the sea. Having no TV is great. Great place for mountain biking. Great place for walks. Lovely cottage.

This is a lovely place to be. We have stayed in Applecross at various places since 2004. We love Ardbain so we were a bit closer here.

We have enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfy cottage, in such a beautiful setting here in Wester Ross. The walks in this area are very scenic and there is a lot of wildlife to discover too. We loved watching the seals and saw lots of varieties of birds and other wildlife on our walks. This has been a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Thank you

Thank you for a lovely, relaxing week in your well-appointed home. We were very content and peaceful, thoroughly enjoyed reading from your great books. Can thoroughly recommend 'His Bloody Project'. Made Culduie come to life.

Thanks for letting us share your comfy little cottage with no TV or mobile phone reception! Brilliant - so nice to hear yourself think. It was a great place to just relax, and everyone was so
kind. Food round here is amazing.

I have had a lovely time here. I love to sit in the seat and watch the sea and the sky. Very relaxing place, gorgeous nature. It's always a joy to visit Applecross. I always feel I know a secret gem in Scotland that very few are privilege to. Until next time...

I am just writing to let you know that my colleague and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Culduie Cottage in August. It is a really comfortable property with bundles of character (particularly the original sitting room which reminded me of so many of my relatives' houses from yesteryear in Applecross) and it is really well-equipped. As the 'cook', I had everything that I needed to hand and we ate very well! The views from the newer sitting room are superb and, again, it was a wonderfully relaxing and comfy environment that nearly caused us to abandon our planned morning fishing outings.
Your property offers excellent value for money (particularly when compared to other rental cottages around the peninsula) plus real charm and character so I will not hesitate to book it again in the future and I would happily recommend it to friends and family, particularly if they wanted to catch a sense of 'traditional' Applecross. For what it's worth, I think Culduie Cottage is a bit of a hidden gem and that you have retained strong elements of its original character when so many properties instead maintain a façade but then try to be ultra-modern inside. Many thanks for a really relaxing, stress-free break.

We had a lovely time, we made the most lovely bread, we loved it. We come here every year and we think it's great. We had a great time playing in Applecross, we can't wait to come back next year!

We have had a wonderful week despite some challenging weather. The cottage has provided fantastic views and was everything we wanted. Not having a TV was a real bonus!

We had a fantastic week in this lovely part of Scotland. The cottage is very cosy and the views are amazing. The kids enjoyed the tree house at the walled garden and all the great beaches. The ice-cream at the Inn is homemade and extremely delicious! We will be back!

Lovely week in this cottage with an amazing, ever changing view. Great walks to Toscaig, Ard Dubh, Ard Ban, Applecross and around Sand Bay. Loved watching seals.

Our second stay in this cosy cottage, unfortunately weather was similar to when we were in October! Nevertheless Applecross worked it's magic, encounters with all kinds of wildlife and old friends, super meals and a gorgeous sunset to finish!

A very good week re-visiting places we came to back in 2008. Creaky oldies managed the radio mast walk and up & down the mighty Applecross river and over to "coral" beaches just by. Eateries were as good as before - The Potting Shed & Applecross Inn. As for birds the Twite gave us a rare up close encounter just outside the sitting room window. Also locally saw Golden Plovers, the squadron of Rock doves and the ever present Wheatears. Thanks to Barbara & Alan Gillies for this warm and homely croft.

We had a lovely time in this cosy cottage, weather better than expected, beautiful autumn colours, waterfalls raging due to the rain, gorgeous rainbows, amazing wildlife, delicious food - I could go on. Thanks :-)

Our first time to Scotland and so the first time to Applecross. Our highlights: our idyllic cottage :-), the mountains, the sheep, the lochs, driving on the left side of the road, having a flat tyre in the highlands... We loved it here and have to leave too soon!
